I'm thinking of running a game set during civil wars, coups and insurgencies in Africa, think Far Cry 2. The characters would be mercenaries, taking on missions battling smugglers, warlords, or dictators. Combat would be gritty and deadly as always, but now with the awesome gun supplement in the download section on designmechanism's site.
The game would be played over skype, with a voice call for in-game discussion, questions and banter - using the chat to write your character's actions or dialogue. I have an insane timezone putting me twelve hours ahead of EST, so the schedule would be on the weekend evenings for those in the Eastern Standard Timezone.
I'm pretty pumped for this, reply to this thread if you are interested.
EDIT: To add onto this, I am free to compromise and change the schedule or ways to host the game to accomodate the players, since many are so scarce to come by these days
The initial mission given to the players is to delve into a bloody civil war, stealthily gather intel and create a strategy to take down a ruthless militia. Again, I'd love to get your take on this and can insert a bunch of other red herrings into the story. It would not be just combat oriented, and all kinds of skills could be useful in the setting; gambling, politics and bureaucracy, as well as disguise and other cloak and dagger ways to solve problems.
