RuneQuest Deutsche Ausgabe - Print Edition

RuneQuest Deutsche Ausgabe - Print Edition

Postby loz » Sun Feb 01, 2015 8:32 am

The RuneQuest Gesellschaft e.v, the group behind the excellent Gloranthan Tradetalk fanzine from the 1990s, have licensed the rights to produce the print edition of the German language version of RuneQuest.

Like the Spanish edition, this will be a crowd funded campaign. No news yet on the platform that will host it, but watch this space for more details.

Is there any info on how the changes that were announced at Gen Con 15 will affect the German Edition of RQ6? Will the pdf still be for sale after the deadline for the english RQ6? Will there still be a print version for the german version?

And as a tangent - is there a plan to make/translate the new and upcoming RQ Glorantha into german?

The GenCon announcement affects all languages in the same way. The RQ Gesellschaft is still preparing its own print edition, but they will need to talk to Chaosium about anything beyond July 2016.

Btw, I have just added form fields to the German character sheet PDF, similar to the English one. Not quite as perfectly, but if anyone is interested, just PM me. Or does it make sense to post it on the design mechanism web site?

Good news! I have just learned that the RuneQuest crowdfunding project will start in January on Startnext. Even better news: RuneQuest-Gesellschaft offers a limited number of pre-prints at their booth in Essen (2-E154 ). They will also have their future German-language products like "Die Küsten Korantias", "Sariniyas Fluch", "Meeros nach dem Fall", "Schlachten und Schildwälle" and excerpts from "Das Taskanische Imperium" on display.

As I understand it, the crowdfunding project very much depends on a sufficient number of "fans" who show their interest on https://www.startnext.com/runequest . Finally, there is a large excerpt from the rulebook to be seen on https://www.dropbox.com/s/eotkift04vwp6 ... u.pdf?dl=0 .
