I hava a query about this sentence:
With the Spirit Rune affmity comes the ability to hear, see, and communicate with spirits, although in and of itself it grants no special persuasive powers in dealing with them.
I do not understand if an initiate can search a spirit himself and deal with it to do a task in the future. Or is a bound spirit in a charm the unique method to control a spirit (for an initiate, I mean)? Must he negotiate with a shaman of his tribe to get a spirit, or can he travel to found one and bargain with it himself?

It would appear that it is possible for a person with the Spirit Rune affinity to negotiate a deal with a Spirit to do a single task in the future, though not being a member of a Spirit tradition, he/she is likely to find most spirits are, at best neutral in attitude to him. Additionally, should he offend it (quite likely with no teaching about etiquette with spirits) he is stuck with just using Willpower at Hard to defend himself if it attacks.
